The process is pure magic: first, the gourds are dried, cleaned, and color-dyed, then Rodolfo hand-draws each Santa. After that, the real fun begins—hand-carved with intricate details and finished with a technique called pyrography, where the gourds are burned to create rich, darkened accents.
