Lucuma (loo-coo-ma) , is a delicately-flavored fruit (Pouteria lucuma) native to the cool highlands of the coastal valleys of Peru and parts of Chile. In Peru, the sunshine like color of its flesh is also referred as “lucuma”. So our name, Lucuma Designs, was inspired by it as its vibrancy mirrors the boldness and cheerfulness of Peruvian folk art!
