This miniature set, inspired by the people of Hawaii and the Pacific Islands, includes Mary, Baby Jesus with pineapple cradle, Joseph, a rooster, and a sea turtle. Handmade in Arequipa, Peru by ceramic artist Eduardo who has a passion for creating ethnically diverse nativities.

Eduardo Gonza founded Q’epay, a family-owned workshop in Arequipa, Peru, known for its charming handmade ceramic nativities. Inspired by Peru’s cultural diversity, Eduardo studies the clothing, traditions, and spirit of different communities, transforming them into joyful figures that celebrate heritage through clay.
His collections began with regional Peruvian cultures and have grown to include designs inspired by indigenous and island communities beyond Peru. Each nativity is molded, fired, smoothed, and painted by hand by a team of skilled ceramic artists, many of them women. Created with appreciation for the beauty of different traditions, these pieces bring originality, warmth, and the spirit of unity to Christmas celebrations around the world.
